Dr. Neo Kok Beng

Associate Professor (Adj) and Founder of Neo Aeronautics

Dr. Neo Kok Beng is an award-winning engineer, educator & entrepreneur specialized in technological innovations and commercialisation. Amongst his accolades include the Presidents’ Design Award, Prime Minister Community Service Award, USA Veterans’ Affairs Innovation Initiative Award, Global Entrepreneurship Winner, Harvard Kennedy School Service Award & NUS Innovation & Enterprise Awards.

He has also been visiting professors /adjunct faculty / instructor in innovation and entrepreneurship at distinguished global universities covering countries in USA (Harvard & Stanford), China (Tsinghua, Fudan and Nanjing), Russia (Kazan Federal), India (Indian School of Business) and Singapore (NUS, NTU, SUTD and SMU).

Kok Beng worked for Singapore Technologies and raised from system engineer to vice-president (new business ands strategic planning) in 10 years, covering corporate investments, aerospace, information technology and electronics sectors. He heads overseas subsidiaries in Silicon Valley and Shanghai.

He was the inventor of the world’s first wearable artificial kidney and developed Singapore’s first urban aerial vehicle (“flying car”). He is also co-founder/Chairman of several deeptech ventures covering areas in medical technology (AWAK, Breathonix, Roceso Technologies, E3A Healthcare and Craft Health) and advanced engineering (E2S2 Systems, Fronka, BeeX, Advanced Terahertz and NEO Aeronautics).

He was Vice-President of the Institution of Engineers and a member of the Engineering Accreditation Board and Singapore Chartered Accountant’s Disciplinary Panel. He has served more than 10 years on the Singapore Government Parliamentary Committee of Finance, Trade & Industry.

Together with NASA astronaut Jeff Williams, he has launched a series of Space Exploration Awareness programmes to interest youth in Space careers recently. He also delivers the ASPIRE show (in partnership with Science Centre Singapore and Singapore Institute of Technology) to inspire youth in STEM education, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Si Xueming

Si Xueming is the Chief Scientist and Professor of Blockchain Research Center, Shanghai Jiao Tong University , Director of the Blockchain Special Committee of the China Computer Society, Consultant of the Digital Fujian Blockchain Development Expert Advisory Group, Vice Director of the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Data Science, Vice Director of the Academic Committee of the Xizi Blockchain Technology Research Institute in Zhejiang Province, Part-time Professor at Zhengzhou University, and Dean of the Institute of Advanced Information Technology at Zhongyuan University of Technology. His areas of expertise include data science, computer architecture, network and information system security, and blockchain.
Since 1995, he has won three first prizes for national scientific and technological progress and has enjoyed a special government allowance since 2001. He has published more than 50 papers in various journals and conferences, applied for 26 national technical invention patents, and has been authorized for 12 patents. He has led and participated in many major national scientific research projects, including serving as the project leader for the “SKA scientific data processing key technology research” of the national key R&D plan.

Hu Jiye

Hu Jie

Professor of Practice at the Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF), Shanghai Jiao Tong University

Director of the SAIF FinTech Innovation Base. His research interests are in the areas of FinTech, blockchain, wealth management and financial institutions and markets. Jie Hu received a Ph.D. in Finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and an M.S. in Physics from the University of Chicago. He formerly worked at the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta as a senior financial economist, where he was responsible for research on finance and economics and for analysis and recommendation of monetary policy. Thereafter, he worked in succession as VP for fixed income research for Bankers Trust (Hong Kong), Senior VP Greater China for BankBoston, and VP Finance and Business Development for Precom, Inc. Since returning to China, Dr. Hu founded a number of startups, and one of which was acquired by UFIDA, the largest business software company in Asia.

Chen Jing

Professor and doctoral supervisor at the National Institute of Cyber Security, Wuhan University.

He is also a young Yangtze River Scholar of the Ministry of Education, a young Scholar of Wuhan Huanghe Talents and Luojia Scholars. The research direction is network security. Jiang Xinwen

Distinguished Professor of School of Computer Science and Cyberspace Security College of Xiangtan University.

Former Professor of School of Computer Science of National University of Defense Technology, Blockchain Special Committee of Chinese Computer Society, Blockchain Special Committee of Chinese Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics, and President of Changsha Information Association.

His main areas are computational complexity, cryptographic algorithms, and blockchain technology research. He has presided over more than 5 national projects such as National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, and won 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 1 third prize of Science and Technology Progress Award at ministerial level. He has published two books, participated in two editions, and published more than 40 SCI/EI indexed papers. He published “Polynomial Time Algorithm for Hamiltonian Graph Determination Problem”, which gained serious attention in the world because the result implies np=p and may completely collapse the foundation of cryptography.

Teach courses such as Computational Complexity, Applied Cryptography, Mathematical Logic, Algorithm Design and Analysis, and Blockchain Technology. He won 1 second prize of national teaching achievement, 1 first prize of ministry-level teaching achievement, 1 third prize, and many school-level teaching achievement prizes. Algorithm Design and Analysis was rated as a national first-class undergraduate course. He won the Military Education Award twice.

Liang Lijun

Associate professor and master supervisor in the School of Information Management of Beijing University of Information Science and Technology, and the head of the Department of Computer Audit.

PhD in management from Beijing University of Technology, and a postdoctoral fellow in business administration from Beijing University of Technology and Beijing Jiaotong University. He is also a CTP (international treasury manager), a senior manager of Internet finance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, a member of the expert committee of the International Blockchain Innovation and Application Alliance, and a member of the academic expert committee of the Asian Blockchain Industry Research Institute.

He has worked in banks for more than 10 years. He was a comprehensive teller in a branch of Hebei Bank (formerly Shijiazhuang Commercial Bank), a business manager of information technology department, accounting department and personal finance department in a branch of Huaxia Bank, and a deputy general manager of development and marketing department in the head office of Beijing Rural Commercial Bank.
