Wang Yi is well-versed in international trade rules and practices and has a deep understanding of the globalization strategies, investments, and operations of the world’s top 500 multinational companies. He has published five books, including “The Fifth Dimension of China’s Economic Growth,” and has published over 60 articles in the national newspapers and magazines such as People’s Daily, Economic Daily, and Theoretical Dynamics.

In May 2005, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong visit to the Central Party School, he suggested Prime Minister Lee that Singapore’s business community should be encouraged to participate in the large-scale development of China’s western region. In 2006, Wang Yi promoted the largest foreign investment in Xi’an Chanba New City. In April 2008, he was the first to propose to the leaders to establish the third new area of China-Singapore cooperation in Chongqing and promoted the landing of the largest new foreign investment in Raffles City Chongqing “Chaotian Yangfan”. From 2010 to 2012, as the deputy head of the economic and trade follow-up delegation, Mr. Wang Yi successively served Vice President Xi Jinping‘s visit to the United States and Singapore and organized more than 10 visits to Singapore by Chinese provincial and ministerial leaders as well. His work produced a large amount of achievements in promoting cooperation and exchanges between China and Singapore, and established good contacts and cooperation with Singaporean political leaders and business circles.
