Asia Academy of Digital Economics
Guidelines for Nomination of Candidates for Academician
Academician of the academy is awarded to eminent individuals from academia, research institutes, industry, and government who have demonstrated successful leadership or outstanding contributions to digital economy over an extended period.
1.Nomination statements may include, but of course not limited to, the following areas of achievement:
- Academic Qualifications
Academic qualifications in engineering and technology or other relevant areas accepted by the council.
- Professional Qualifications & Membership
Professional qualifications and membership of relevant professional and scientific institutions or societies.
- Research, Innovative Design & Development
Demonstrated achievement and recognition in research, development and innovation at national, regional and/or international level.
- Recognized Leadership In Academia, Research Institutes, National And International Professional Bodies
Academic and professional leadership in universities, research institutes, national and international academic and professional institutions and bodies.
- Enhancement Of The Digital Economy Through Public Service.
Contribution to the digital economy profession through active participation in various national and international boards, commissions and committees.
- Entrepreneurship And Management
Successful creation, development and management of business and enterprises in digital economy sciences.
- Recognition By Peers
Recognized in the candidate’s own profession within the country, Asian or internationally, as a leader in a particular discipline.
- Recognition By The Community
Public recognition from contributions to the community, including being given awards and honors.
- Value To The Academy
Potential contributions to the activities and enhancing the image of the academy as evidenced by past performance in professional or scientific associations.
- Personal Knowledge
Candidates shall be matured, responsible and respected individuals.
2. Only advisers committee of the Asia Academy of Digital Economics can nominate possible new academician.
3. The general criterion for admission is international peer recognition (see the nomination form).
4. The required documents have to be sent to the executive committee in one pdf.
5. There shall be proportion of at least 80% of advisers committee pass in each nominate. If the required proportion is not reached in a nominate, the nomination is postponed.
6. A nomination can be sent anytime in the year to the executive committee, however, as there are now two periods of election for advisers committee, please note that the file should arrive in due time to the executive committee in order for the committee to be able to examine the nominations before submitting it to the votes of the advisers committee.
